MADRID, 27 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Carrera de las Empresas by Santander returns to Madrid on December 19 in the financial center of the capital, with Paseo de la Castellana as the axis and the objective of breaking the 2019 record of 20,000 runners, according to the organizers reported this Wednesday in a release.
After the previous edition was held at the La Zarzuela Racecourse due to sanitary restrictions due to COVID-19, the Carrera de las Empresas by Santander returns in its usual team test format, with 2, 3 or 4 members, male, female or mixed.
This year as a novelty, the individual category is included for the first time so that the Self-Employed, a booming business sector, have their leading role in the Carrera de las Empresas by Santander.
The start and finish line will be located in Plaza San Juan de la Cruz, and the distances will be 6.5 and 10 kilometers. The route crosses the Paseo de la Castellana to Plaza Castilla, to return to the starting area directly in the case of the short distance, while in the 10K it reaches the Plaza de Colón and goes up the Castellana towards the Plaza San Juan de the cross.
ALSO IN VIRTUAL FORMAT
Despite the return of the Carrera de las Empresas by Santander to normality, in this 2021 edition one of the novelties of last year will be maintained: the Carrera de las Empresas by Santander virtual. In this way, it will be possible to run in this sports festival from any point of the Spanish geography.
