The “Bribon”, again with King Juan Carlos at the helm, reaffirms its leadership in the Galicia Tourism Trophy

MADRID, 15 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The “Bribon”, again under the leadership of King Juan Carlos, increased this Saturday its status as leader of the Galician Tourism Trophy thanks to achieving a third and a first place.

The boat from the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo was five points ahead of Mauricio Sanchez-Bella’s “Titia”, who climbed one position thanks on the one hand to his consistency with a second and fourth place and also due to the discreet results of the “Aida” from RCN de La Coruña who, with two fifth places, is relegated to third place tied with “Ian” by Cesar Elizaga.

The best boat of the day was the “Alibaba II” (MRCY of Bayonne) of Miguel Lago, which with a second and a first place threatens, for tomorrow’s day, both the “Aida” and the “Ian” in their dispute for one of the podium places, placing himself just three points away from bronze.

The day once again featured exceptional wind, wave and sun conditions for the 6 Meter fleet, with a stable southwest wind of 8 knots on average with flat seas, allowing the committee to carry out both tests in less than three hours.
