The Norwegian Bodö/Glimt is already the fashionable team of the Conference League after having managed to reach the quarterfinals of said tournament on Thursday, in this case after making history by eliminating AZ Alkmaar thanks to a 2-2 after extra time. Bodö/Glimt, coached by Kjetil Knutsen, was already the protagonist in the group stage, in which they beat José Mourinho’s Roma no less than 6-1 at the Aspmyra Stadion, while a draw against the ‘giallorossi’ (2-2).

The Norwegians achieved their pass to the quarterfinals on Thursday after extra time, since the 90 minutes ended 2-1, a result that equaled the 1-2 of the first leg. In extra time, specifically in injury time in the first part of it, Alfons Sampsted scored the second goal for Bodö/Glimt, which he thus managed to place among the top eight in the first edition of the Conference League.
In the 90 minutes of regulation, Evangelos Pavlidis scored a brace (18′ and 30′) that did not allow AZ, 5th in the Eredivisie table, to qualify. The first Bodo/Glimt goal was scored by Amahl Pellegrino (26′).
In the quarterfinals will be Roma (1-1 against Vitesse), Leicester (despite losing 2-1 at Rennes), Marseille (1-2 at Basel), Feyenoord, who returned to beat Partizan (3-1), PAOK, who did the same with Ghent (1-2) and Slavia Prague, who despite losing 4-3 to LASK made a good 4-1 first leg.
