Iker Casillas has decided to hang up the gloves today. In his extensive career under the sticks, the man from Madrid has left great stops to remember.
1. To Dimitar Berbatov (Bayer Leverkusen) in the 2001-2002 Champions League final
In the 2002 Champions League final, Real Madrid took on Bayer Leverkusen (2-1). In the final minutes, the Germans tightened in search of a draw, but Iker Casillas avoided it, with several almost miraculous interventions. Especially remembered is the one he did to the Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov. The Bayer striker picked up a corner at the far post and made a forced shot, which Casillas kicked out in formidable action.

2. To Arjen Robben (Netherlands team) in the 2010 World Cup final in South Africa
In the final of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Spain and the Netherlands face each other for the first title for either team. In the first half, Dutch winger Arjen Robben went toe-to-toe, 0–0 on the scoreboard, which Casillas saved almost miraculously with his legs.
This intervention prevented the Dutch team from getting ahead on the scoreboard, something that in a game as important as a final, is almost as decisive as scoring the goal that Andrés Iniesta achieved in extra time.

3. Diego Perotti (Seville) in the Sevilla – Real Madrid LaLiga Santander match (2-1).
In a great Seville action, a Reyes boarding school ends in the boots of Diego Perotti, who with all the goal in his favor, just has to push her. However, in an action worthy of a cat, Casillas suddenly reacted to move quickly and launch himself to intercept the ball that was comfortably going towards the goal. It is surely one of the best stops in the last decade of the League.

4. To Leo Messi (Barça) in the Real Madrid – Barcelona LaLiga Santander match
The action takes place on the left wing of the Madrid defense, when Luis Suárez enters and achieves a great center with a parable that beats Pepe and leaves Messi alone at point-blank range. However, a great Iker Casillas leaves his goal and pounces on the Argentine star to close the spaces and avoid the goal.

5. A Verza (Almería) in the Almería – Real Madrid match of LaLiga Santander
Penalty committed in the second half of the match by Marcelo. Almería midfielder, Verza, has before him the opportunity to tie the game, as at that time the Whites won 1-2. The shot, adjusted to the right side of the goal, is guessed by Casillas, who lunges in the right direction and manages to repel the shot, in a great intervention.
