The Pontevedra town of Sanxenxo will host this weekend the Barceló Challenge, the seventh and final series of 2023 of the 2023 Spanish 6 Meter League, to which the ‘Bribón’, with King Don Juan Carlos as skipper, arrives as leader .

The Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo (RCNS), which since last March has hosted the competition as the base of the 6 Classic Meter class fleet, will organize the rounds that will settle the podium of the season on Saturday and Sunday.

The first races will begin on Saturday at 1:30 p.m., and if wind conditions allow, the fleet box will have the first two results that will begin to define the final classification of the year.

Three boats have options for podium positions: the ‘Bribón’, which arrives at this last series with a 12-point advantage; the ‘Titia’, with Mauricio Sánchez-Bella on the helm; and Miguel Lago’s ‘Alibabá II’, which is only four points behind the second placed team.

Furthermore, the ‘Aida’ of Francisco Botas and with Javier Gándara as skipper, achieved very good results in the last regattas, and although it has no chance of reaching the podium places, it can be decisive for the points differences between the three first, just like ‘Erica’ by Violeta Álvarez, ‘Stardust’ by Santiago Campos or ‘Ian’ by Cesar Elizaga.
