The Barça, of record in record

From record to record. This is how the female Barcelona goes, with the direct start, towards its next league title. The Barça team, a solo leader with 14 victories in 14 games and 73 goals in favor and three against, is pulverizing records, their own and those of the Primera Iberdrola, week yes and week no. After his triumph against Levante this Wednesday, he equaled two new historical records: to win 14 consecutive matches in the same championship and to add 18 consecutive victories, counting the accumulated last season.

In this 2020-21 campaign, Barça is once again astonishing with their good game and their incredible run of results. Nobody overshadows him in the League, neither his eternal rival in women's football (Atlético de Madrid, whom he beat 3-0 at Johan Cruyff) nor his new eternal rival imported from men's (Real Madrid, who won 4-1). And it is that this season he has not yielded even a draw, something that did happen in the previous one, when he drew one against Rayo at the beginning and then at zero, against Atleti, in January.

That defensive security led him this year to be the only undefeated team in the major European leagues and also to overcome their historical time mark without conceding a single goal, leaving it in 928 minutes.

To these records we must add two new ones equalized this week by Lluís Cortés's players: 14 consecutive wins in the same competition, which they will surpass if they win over Logroño, and that of 18 consecutive victories, chained since February 1, 2020. They will surely beat more marks soon …
