The Barça flirts with CVC

The door to the agreement for FC Barcelona to join LaLiga Impulso with the support of the CVC investment fund approved last Friday by the assembly of the First and Second clubs has reopened. Barça, together with Real Madrid and Athletic Club, opposed from the beginning to this agreement promoted by Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, but it seems that given the financial situation of the entity and the urgencies to be able to sign in the winter market, the situation could change.

According to RAC1, Barcelona would be open to entering into this operation if what the Blaugrana board calls a “Tailored dress”. Barcelona would not accept the conditions that would affect the 39 clubs that approved them last Friday, but it seems that the investment fund would not frown upon introducing certain modifications to add Barça to the ship.

This fact would suppose an absolute victory for Javier Tebas in his fight against the Super League, because it is to be assumed that if Barça accepted this agreement they would abandon the ship of Florentino and Agnelli.

The negotiation to fine-tune the agreement is so complicated that it overwhelms the club itself. Barcelona has signed two credits with Goldman Sachs that should be adapted to this new operation with CVC, which depends on Citycorp. One loan is a rescue of 595 million to meet the financial expenses of the entity in the short term and the other is up to 1,500 (which is yet to be signed) and will affect the financing of Espai Barça.

Taking into account that the leadership of Barcelona was yesterday or in Ryad where the team played the Maradona Cup on Tuesday, or in Turin accompanying Pedri and Lieke Maertens at the Tuttosport awards, it seems that negotiations are taking place more between financial institutions than with the Blaugrana club.
