The Appeal Committee ratifies the three games of sanction to Soldier

The Appeal Committee has ratified the three sanction matches imposed by the Competition on Roberto Soldado after his expulsion against Cádiz decreed by the referee Díaz de Mera. The additional fine of 600 euros is also maintained.

The controversy began because the referee did not observe Jorge Molina being knocked down inside the area as a penalty. Soldier protested vehemently and Díaz de Mera took two yellows from him in less than a second. The discussion continued and the forward, very angry, kicked the VAR monitor. The referee put in the minutes that Soldier said “you are shits “ to the referee quartet. A statement that the Valencian does not recognize.

The Appeal Committee has rejected Granada's appeal with more or less the same arguments used by Competition to reject the allegations to the minutes that were based on some images from GOL TV where fragments of Soldier's discussion with the referee were heard perfectly hearing “you treat us like shit.” You do not hear the aforementioned “you are shits.” But there is a part of these images where what the footballer says is not heard. A key aspect that, for the purposes of the two sports justice bodies, has given truth to the minutes drawn up by Díaz de Mera.

Unless Granada requests the precautionary suspension of the sanction from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and it is granted, Roberto Soldado will not be able to face Real Madrid. At the moment the previous game against Betis was lost.
