American shooting guard Darius Thompson will play for Cazoo Baskonia for the next two seasons, the Basque club announced this Friday, which has acquired the services of the Russian Lokomotiv Kuban player until now.
The 27-year-old from Tennessee, 1.93 meters tall, was one of the key pieces of the Krasnodar team, with whom he averaged 13.2 points, 5.8 assists and 17.2 PIR credits in the Eurocup in the 2021-22 season. In the VTB League, he posted 8.3 points and 5.9 assists per game.
Thompson, who finished his university stage at the University of Kentucky, played in the first Italian league in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons at the hands of Happy Casa Brindisi. In his final year in Italy, he averaged 13.4 points and 5.6 assists in 25 games.
