The alleged victim of Dani Alves asks for the maximum sentence (12 years in prison) and 10 more years of supervised release

New chapter in the case of the lawsuit against the former FC Barcelona footballer for an alleged sexual assault that occurred on December 30 in Barcelona. This Tuesday, the plaintiff's defense has requested the maximum penalty for this type of crime, that is, 12 years in prison for Dani Alves. But not only that: he has also requested that, once the sentence has been served, the Brazilian be subjected to ten more years of probation with a restraining order against the victim.

It must be remembered that the Prosecutor's Office requested nine years in prison for Dani Alves, a sentence lower than that requested this Tuesday by the victim's defense. Yes, they both coincide when setting 150,000 euros compensation for the victim for physical and psychological damage, since the 23-year-old girl is on sick leave due to anxiety problems and is receiving psychiatric and psychological treatment. An amount that Dani Alves already deposited in court and that the alleged victim, despite having initially renounced it, requested a few weeks ago.

The plaintiff's letter removes the possibility of a possible agreement between the parties, a possibility that they spoke about in TardeAR: “No one wants this trial to take place because it will not be an easy process for him but neither will it be for her.”

The events date back to December 30 at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona, where Dani Alves and his alleged victim were partying with friends. The woman claims that Joana Sanz's husband forced her to have sexual relations in the bathroom despite her refusal, while he claims that it was a consensual encounter. The footballer entered preventive detention in Brians II on January 20 and remains there despite the four requests for parole that his defense has presented. The Court refuses and alleges “risk of flight.”
