BARCELONA, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The 42nd edition of the Marcha 3 Nacions by BWT, which will be held this Saturday starting and finishing in Puigcerdà, will be the first energy self-sufficient cycling event and will bring together 2,125 participants on this occasion, who will travel 140 kilometers passing through Spain, Andorra and France .

The organization assures that this edition will be innovative, as it is the first energy self-sufficient Spanish cycling tour thanks to Solideo (partner of the march), which will implement sustainable and renewable energy.

Former cyclist Jose Antonio Hermida, organizer of the Marcha 3 Nacions by BWT, assured in the official presentation that it is “proud” to be able to say that they are pioneers in Spain for this way of supplying energy to the event.

The March 3 Nacions by BWT is the only one in the world that runs through three countries, giving a distinctive touch to each of them. The Spanish, French and Andorran Pyrenees will be covered, passing through mythical and well-known ports such as the Port of Envalira with a height difference of 2,407 meters, being the highest paved mountain pass in Europe, Coll de Puymorens and La Tour de Carol.

There will be several familiar faces participating in the 42nd edition, in addition to José Antonio Hermida himself, such as Oliver Avilés, Purito Rodríguez, Antonio Ortiz, Noel Ruiz, Sandra Jordà, Hugo Drechou, Victor Koretzky, and other professional athletes who practice cycling such as MotoGP rider Aleix Espargaró, triathlete Nan Oliveras, motorcycling riders Carlos and David Checa, as well as Roberto López and Eder Sarabia.
