This Sunday, the 3rd Spanish Basketball Gala rewards Sergio Llull, Silvia Domínguez, Willy Hernangómez and María Conde as the most outstanding national and international players of the season, as well as honoring legends such as Amaya Valdemoro or those who have played five Games -Pau Gasol, Rudy Fernández and Juan Carlos Navarro-, according to a statement from the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB).
The Santa Catalina hotel, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, will host this Sunday, this third edition of the event, organized by the FEB and the Marca newspaper, starting at 9:00 p.m. The gala will be attended by the men’s team and some players from the women’s team.
In addition to the above, Joel Parra (Young player with greatest projection) will also be awarded; Irati Etxarri (Young player with greater projection); Carmelo Cabrera and Amaya Valdemoro (Legend Award); Sandra Ygueravide; and Pau Gasol, Rudy Fernandez and Juan Carlos Navarro (Special Prize).
The jury for these awards, appointed by the organizers, has been formed by the president of the FEB, Jorge Garbajosa; the Brand Director, Juan Ignacio Gallardo; the cabinet director of the CSD, Juan Fernández; the president of the ACB, Antonio Martín; Carmen Muguruza, representative of the Association of Women’s Clubs; the president of the ABP, Alfonso Reyes; the president of the AJUB, Lucila Pascua; the president of the AEBA, Daniel Hierrezuelo; the president of the AEEB, Joan María Gavaldà; and other members of the FEB and Marca.
