the daughters of Maria Teresa Campos (82) have sent an official statement to the media to clarify the emergency admission of the veteran journalist to the Fundación Jiménez Díaz hospital in Madrid this Sunday.
“The patient Doña María Teresa Campos Luque has been admitted today, September 3, 2023, by the Internal Medicine Service at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital due to acute respiratory failure,” reads the text signed by the medical director of the health center.
“This statement is issued at the request of Mrs. Terelu Campos and Mrs. Carmen Borrego, daughters of the patient. Her current prognosis is reserved, within the severity”, concludes Dr. Javier Arcos.
The health of the great communicator was affected after a fall she suffered last December. After that, her daughters said that her mother suffered significant cognitive impairment and since then she has stayed away from the spotlight.
