Tebas, Casado, Martín, Villas-Boas, Motta and Juan de DiosCrespo analyze the challenges of sport at ISC 2023

The presidents of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, and of the acb, Antonio Martín, the only Spanish woman on the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Marisol Casado, the head of FIFA agents, Luis Villas-Boas, and the lawyers Marcos Motta and Juan de Dios Crespo will participate, among others, in the fourth edition of the ISDE Sports Convention (ISC), the international congress organized by the Higher Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE) in collaboration with LaLiga, which will be held on May 19 at the Palace of Santona in Madrid.

Aimed at senior representatives and managers of law firms
sports, Marketing and Communication directors and, among others,
students specializing in sports law, the ISC 2023 is the
only international congress promoted by an institution
academic, the ISDE.

In this new installment of the ISC 2023, which will take place at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce, key issues for the present and future of law and the sports industry will be analyzed, such as the ‘Leading cases’ of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) ; the sustainable challenges faced by organizers of sporting events; the digitization process and the challenges that this entails in sports by representatives of ISDI; and the present and future of the professional leagues.

Likewise, the presence of women in the direction and
management of sports organizations, and the legal implications
derived from the approval at the end of last year of the new Law
of Sport, in an edition with greater international projection
with English-speaking speakers and issues that affect the sphere
international sports such as the Regulation of Agents and the new
FIFA Code of Ethics.

The seven scheduled round tables will also take part
speakers such as Antonio de Quesada (TAS); José Juan Pinto (Painted);
Cape Larumbe (BDO); Luis Fernando Pamplona (NKPDN); Rodrigo
Miranda (ISDI); Alfredo Bermejo (LaLiga); and Javier Lozano, Servando
Revuelta and Beatriz Alvarez, presidents of the LNFS, ASOBAL and League F,
respectively.

The head of the Sports Area of ​​the Madrid City Council, Sofía
Miranda, and the deputy director general of Sports Promotion and Innovation
of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), Aitor Canibe, will present their
vision on the sustainable challenges in the organization of events
sports for the capital of Spain, which in 2022 was the World Capital
of Sport, and the Government of the country.

Likewise, magistrate Alberto Palomar, lawyer Irene Aguiar
(Nebot/Páez lawyers) and the Sports spokespersons of the PP and PSOE in
the Congress of Deputies, Javier Merino and Juan Luis Soto, will dissect the new text of the recently approved Sports Law, while Mercedes Coghen (ADESP), Lina Souloukou (ECA) and Sabrina Buljubasic (CEO FK Sarajevo) will accompany Marisol Casado to highlight the role of women in the direction and management of sports organizations.

Organized in the hybrid modality, face-to-face and via streaming, the ISC 2023 is held in the year prior to the Olympic Games and
Paralympics in Paris, and will complete the extensive calendar of events
that will make Madrid the point of reference for sport
international competition along with others such as the Mutua Madrid Tennis Open, the
Spanish Golf Open, the Madrid Marathon, the Men’s World Cup
Ice Hockey and the European Triathlon Championship.

NEW EDITION OF THE ISC AWARDS

Nearly 400 congressmen from more than 40 countries participated in the
previous edition of the ISC, held in May 2022 in the Jardines de
Cecilio Rodríguez de Madrid, a meeting of international reference
legal and the sports industry, a sector that contributes 3.3 percent of GDP and more than 414,000 jobs to the Spanish economy.

In addition, in the hall of the gardens of the Madrid park of El Retiro
a new edition of the ISC awards was held, with which ISDE
recognized the best Spanish basketball player in history, Pau Gasol; to the
FC Barcelona footballer Alexia Putellas, double Golden Ball winner; at the
president of Atlético de Madrid, Enrique Cerezo; and to the City Hall
of Madrid in the year that celebrated the designation as World Capital
of sport.

In edition years, these awards were also collected by the president
from FIFA, Gianni Infantino; three-time boxing world champion
Joana Pastrana; the president of Real Valladolid, Ronaldo Nazario, and
former Olympic badminton champion Carolina Marín. The winners
in the ISC 2023 will be delivered on May 19 during a
ceremony that will be chaired by the CEO of ISDE, Juan José
Sanchez Puig

The IV ISDE Sports Convention has the main sponsorship of
LaLiga, and the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce, the Illustrious
Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) and the City Council of
