Sunday Night Football: live updates, news, inactives, highlights, and the Chiefs vs. Packers result

The Green Bay Packers vs. Kansas City Chiefs game might have been written off as a snoozer two weeks ago.

The Packers were 3–6 at the time, and Jordan Love was an extremely unreliable quarterback.

However, since then, things have evolved. All of a sudden, love is beginning to make sense. The Packers are now in the hunt for a postseason berth after winning two straight games. Much of that has been attributed to love.

Love has passed for five touchdowns and 590 passing yards over the last two games. Against the Detroit Lions, who were leading the NFC North, was one of those matchups.

Love played a tough opponent and produced what was perhaps the best performance of his early career.

However, the thirteenth week offers an even greater difficulty. Love might have fits from the Chiefs’ superior defense.

He will still need to outduel Patrick Mahomes on offense, even if he manages to break through and score some scores. This is going to be a crucial test to determine how far Love has come this season.

The Green Bay Packers have taken two of their last three games and put together back-to-back dominant victories to unexpectedly find themselves in the postseason picture.

The Chiefs, who were two games ahead in the AFC West, ended a perplexing three-game losing streak in which they failed to score after halftime.

The Packers, who have won 15 games in their last four seasons under the leadership of Matt LaFleur, are likewise thrilled to see December arrive.

The Kansas City Chiefs appeared to regain their offensive spark in the second half of their game against the Las Vegas Raiders last week, following their humiliating performance versus the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11.

Due to the possibility of attendance from pop music icon Taylor Swift and American gymnast as well as Olympic legend Simone Biles, this prime-time showdown may be just as intriguing off the field as it is on.

Biles has attended several games at Lambeau Field this season with her husband, Packers defender Jonathan Owens.

Swift’s Eras Tour is now on pause due to the intense global attention her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has drawn.

Who do you get in a Sunday night shootout? The man who is perhaps the most gifted quarterback in NFL history? Or would you rather wager on the man who is perhaps the most skilled quarterback in NFL history and acts as a backup for any of the other quarterbacks? Essentially, which player would you rather wager on: Matt Moore or Aaron Rodgers?

On the surface, the choice appears straightforward, but this game proved anything but. All night long, the quarterbacks for the Packers under Rodgers and the Chiefs under Moore traded body punches, each one standing tall in the pocket launching strikes to buy time for plays to be made outside the pocket and get the ball into the hands of playmakers to allow them do the dirty work.

In the end, though, the Packers were victorious, winning 31–24 to maintain their lead in the NFC North.

Moore helped the Chiefs come back from a two-score deficit early in the game and start the game 2 of 4 for negative-1 yards.

He did this by throwing touchdowns to Travis Kelce (on a stunning throw down the right sideline) then Mecole Hardman, putting the Chiefs up 17-14 at the half.

There’s a lot to discuss after the Packers defeated the Chiefs in a thrilling game. Fortunately, on the most recent episode of the Pick Six Podcast, Will Brinson, John Breech, Ryan Wilson, plus Sean Wagner-McGough are available to break it down along with all the other Week 8 matchups.
