Uli Stielike has been fired from Tianjin Teda of the Chinese Super League. The former Real Madrid player joined the team in September 2017 and after almost three years the board has decided not to continue with him in charge of the team. The main reason has been lousy start to season of the team since the course began on July 25, just one point out of fifteen possible, situation that leaves the club in the last position of group B, being also the set with the fewest points of both groups.
Tianjin Teda will now bet on Chinese coach Wang Baoshan, with whom they hope to overcome this situation. Stielike is the second coach sacked since he started the Chinese league again after the Italian Roberto Donadoni was replaced by Jordi Cruyff as coach of Shenzen.
Stielike is now left without equipment after have tried their luck in China, as South Korea coach and in various projects in Qatar in recent years.
