The Spanish wheelchair handball team will face Portugal in its first international match on Sunday, October 31 at 10:00 a.m. at the Palacio de los Deportes in León, the Royal Spanish Handball Federation (RFEBM) has confirmed this Monday .
The meeting is the first activity in the global adapted and inclusive handball project that is being developed by the RFEBM with Carlos Sainer as head.
In addition, it will be part of the events of the 25th anniversary of Cleba León and will have the collaboration and sponsorship of the City Council of León, through the Department of Sports, as well as Aguas de León, the Obra Social San Juan de Dios and the Centro de State Reference (CRE) of San Andrés, which will host the players.
The Councilor for Sports of the City of León, Vicente Canuria, highlighted in the presentation of the game that the players are “heroes who overcome all kinds of difficulties to achieve their goal, which is to maintain sports practice at a high level.” “Institutions should not neglect inclusive sport, people who give us a lot of joys as the medals have shown in the last Tokyo Olympics and who overcome, even with greater integrity and strength, the difficulties that any athlete may encounter,” he said. .
For his part, the president of the RFEBM, Francisco V.
