MADRID, 17 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish team will play on June 2 against Portugal at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, in Seville, and on June 12 against the Czech Republic at La Rosaleda, in Malaga, matches corresponding to the League of Nations, as confirmed by the Royal Spanish Federation of Football (RFEF) this Thursday.

“It will be the stadiums of Benito Villamarín in Seville and La Rosaleda in Malaga that will host the UEFA Nations League matches between La Roja and Portugal and the Czech Republic, respectively. This is the result of the agreement reached in February 2021 between the RFEF and the Junta de Andalucía to turn this community into the venue for 24 national team matches in four years,” the statement said.

The Benito Villamarín will be the venue for the Spain-Portugal match that will be played on June 2, starting at 8:45 p.m. The Betic stadium will once again host a match for the Spanish team, after four years. It was on October 15, 2018 when Spain faced England (2-3) in this venue for the last time.

For its part, the La Rosaleda stadium in Malaga will see Luis Enrique’s team play at home on Sunday, June 12, against the Czech Republic. The national team has not played in the Malaga field since November 2017, in which it was the ninth presence in the city of the national team. Seven of those nine occasions in which Spain have played in Malaga have been friendlies.
