MADRID, 6 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish U-20 women’s team took bronze this Sunday at the Eurobasket held in Lithuania, after sweeping Serbia (36-94) with the rage of the semifinal lost the day before, ceding the throne of the category.

Spain, nine times champion, proved to belong to this podium with a blow to the table that resolved the clash at half-time, to continue on the podium with a resounding bronze. On the other hand, Spanish women’s basketball continues without getting off the podium in this summer of 2023: absolute silver in the EuroBasket, continental bronze in the U-18 and silver in the U-19 World Cup.

After the blockade against the galas, Spain brought out all its power against Serbia and sentenced the consolation final with a 7-22 in the second quarter. Rubén Burgos’ men came to win by 58 points and had Txell Alarcón (21 points and a PIR of 27), Claudia Contell, Elena Rodríguez and Claudia Soriano as the most valued.
