Spain leaves the European Weightlifting with three silvers and four bronzes

The Spanish delegation that competed in the European Weightlifting Championship, which was held between April 15 and 23 in Yerevan, signed some good results by winning a total of seven medals, three silver and four bronze, thanks to three athletes.

One of the great protagonists was David Sánchez from Almeria, in the -73 kilos category, where he achieved runner-up in the Olympic total with a total of 335 kilos, just one behind the gold that went to the Latvian Ritvars Suhasevs. He was also silver in two times with 185, one behind the Turkish Yusuf Fehmi Genç, and broke three Spanish records.

For his part, in -67 kilos, Acorán Hernández from Tenerife shone, who was also proclaimed runner-up in Europe in the Olympic total 305 kilos, 15 from the Armenian Gor Sahakyan, and was bronze in the snatch with 140 kilos. He also achieved four national records.

Finally, Marta García, from Salamanca, a debutant in a major international event and still in junior age, won three bronze medals in the -45 kilos category, got the bronzes in Olympic total, snatch and two times, and broke a national record.
