Spain hangs the bronze in the group final of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup

The Spanish ensemble team made up of Inés Bergua, Mireia Martínez, Ana Arnau, Salma Solaun, Valeria Márquez and Patricia Pérez won bronze this Friday in the all-around competition at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, which are held in Sofia Bulgaria , also achieving qualification for the 2024 Paris Games.

The Spanish placed fourth after their first exercise with 5 hoops, behind Brazil, but a great performance in the second rotation with 3 ribbons and 2 balls and a tango as a soundtrack lifted them to a momentary first position with 63,200 points.

Ultimately, they were overtaken in the final standings by hosts Bulgaria (66,600), who took gold, and Israel (64,650), who claimed silver in the final.

This medal from Spain is the first metal of a Spanish group in the complete contest since the bronze achieved in the Stuttgart World Cup in 2015. In addition, this Sunday they will fight for another medal in the hoops and mixed final.
