MADRID, 22 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish ice hockey team beat Croatia 2-5 this Saturday, with a comeback included, in the fifth and final day of the Men’s World Championship in Division II – Group A, played at the Ice Palace in Madrid, and in this way he has managed to rise in category.

The goals from Luka Jarcov and Bruno Kegalj, in just 10 minutes, put Spain’s goal uphill. However, a goal from the prolific Dorian Donath closed the gap and brought the necessary calm before the end of the first third of the game. He equalized Gastón González in the second period, providing a tremendous outcome for the last third.

The Croatian team had the opportunity to take the lead again with a penalty 10′ from the end and that was thwarted by Raúl Barbo, author of another merit save in a counterattack almost afterwards. Encouraged by these two actions, Luciano Basile’s men let loose in attack and closed the victory with another goal from Donath, along with two more goals from Oriol Rubio and Quim Muratet.

Thus, the Spanish team buttoned up a great World Cup for their interests. Fifth victory in as many days, at a rate of 15 points in the lead. That condition earned him the gold medal and confirmed his promotion to Division I – Group B; Georgia (12 pts.) took silver and Croatia claimed bronze (9 pts.).
