MADRID, 20 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Paralympic cycling team completed the European Championship in Rotterdam (Netherlands) this Sunday with a total of 14 medals, three of them on the last day with Joan Reinoso, Gonzalo García Abella and Sergio Garrote.

The tricycles opened on Sunday, with Joan Reinoso and Gonzalo García Abella aiming to get a metal again, as happened in the time trial last Friday. In T1, the man from Madrid added another silver medal after fighting hard to keep second place.

In T2, Joan Reinoso was back on the podium after a tough race in which the Spaniard, who was in third position for a good part of the race, benefited from a fall in the final sprint by the Czech Masin against the Austrian Steinbichler to snatch the second position.

Among the handbikes, Sergio Garrote started out as one of the great favorites to take the title but had to settle for a valuable silver against the Frenchman Florian Jouanny. For his part, in the H4 category, Martín bergesi finished in eighth position in a race dominated by Frenchman Mathieu Bosredon.
