Spain beats Slovakia and wins the European volleyball ticket

The Spanish men’s volleyball team beat Slovakia (1-3) this Wednesday in Nitra to mathematically achieve the ticket to the 2023 European Championship, on the penultimate day of the qualifying phase within Group F.

Spain, European champions in 2007, recorded their fifth victory in five games, and scored a key match, against the second-placed team, to ensure their presence in the continental event.

The RedLynxes won 21-25, 25-19, 20-25, 21-25, with the same authority with which they already beat the Slovaks 11 days ago in Teruel. The Los Planos pavilion will host the last qualifying match against Hungary next Sunday, with the homework already done for Miguel Rivera’s team.
