Spain and the host Serbia, final of the Eurobasket Sub-18

MADRID, 29 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Under-18 men’s team beat France (58-70) this Saturday to access the final of the European Championship of the category that is taking place in Nis, where they will face the host Serbia.

The Spanish team, which secured the fifth national basketball medal this summer, trailed from the start (14-5) but the French team did not go very far with its advantage. Lucas Langarita allowed Spain to take its first lead (14-17).

The duel continued to be tight and once again France struck first after the restart, although Hugo González, Aday Mara and a three-pointer from Langarita turned the score around (41-47).

Javier Zamora’s men found success in the outcome to be able to celebrate their ticket to the final without suffering. Gold will be expensive against a Serbia that plays at home and that beat Germany (65-54).
