Spain and Brazil present this Tuesday the match against racism

MADRID, 12 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The presidents of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, and the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Ednaldo Rodrigues, together with the internationals Rodrigo Moreno and Ansu Fati, will present this Tuesday (12:30 p.m.) in the hall Villalonga of the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid) the match against racism that will be played by the teams of both countries.

The two leaders and the Spanish players will give information about the match that will be held in March 2024 in national territory, the result of the commitment of both federations to reinforce their fight against racism and violence in football.

As reported by the RFEF last week, the match will be played “on Spanish soil” and aims to become a “great football party” between the two teams after the latest incidents that affected the Brazilian player of Real Madrid Vinícius Júnior.

For this reason, the RFEF, the CSD and LaLiga promoted the ‘Racists, get out of football’ campaign, which aims to eradicate racist and xenophobic attitudes from football pitches, making the fans aware that insults or discriminatory attitudes for any reason.

Now, under the motto ‘One Skin’, Spain and Brazil are reinforcing their football ties and their social commitments. The president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, already met a few days ago at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid) with Orlando Leite, Brazil’s ambassador to Spain.

This friendly will be the tenth meeting between the teams of Spain and Brazil, who have not met since the 2013 Confederations Cup final. Of the nine previous duels, Spain won two and drew another two, with eight goals scored and 14 in against.

In the event that the Spanish team had official commitments in that ‘window’ of March 2024, the RFEF explained that a new location would be sought in the calendar for the celebration of this friendly Spain-Brazil against racism.
