The delicate situation in which Málaga finds itself, together with the health crisis affecting our country, is forcing many companies to reinvent themselves to survive. This is the case of Málaga Club de Fútbol, which has developed two initiatives to try to cushion as much as possible the tremendous setback of the global COVID-19 pandemic. On the one hand, it has launched an interesting campaign to attract subscribers. Secondly, it has launched the search for what it calls ‘Patrono Malaguista’. We explain both proposals below.
1-Campaign to attract subscribers
The club reflects this in its official note. “The current health framework does not allow us to accurately predict when will the return of normality to our day to day. In football, the stadiums have been soulless without a date set for the return of the fans. However, Málaga CF is launching its 20-21 Subscriber Campaign. Obviously, this is a very unique campaign, but the most necessary of all. We need you, Malaguistas, even if it's in the distance. Therefore, we give you these two options to continue walking with us:
The first is the ‘Wind and Tide Pass’. This is how the club explains it. “If you were a subscriber / day in the 19-20 campaign, you are Viento y Marea. Unless you object, you will automatically renew at no cost. With this new subscription, you will keep your seniority and your benefits (10% discount at MCF Stores, access to different promotions and Club services, etc.). To access the subscriber portal: malaguista.malagacf.es/registro ”.
The second option it offers is called ‘Subscription + Wind and Tide’. It is a Premium option. With a single cost of € 49.90, (€ 19.90 if the subscription is for children) in addition to increasing your discount in the club stores to 20%, priority will be given to purchasing tickets in the event of a partial opening of the stadium, as long as the health authorities allow it. Taking into account the presumed measurements of capacity and distance, it is possible that the assigned seat does not correspond to that of the usual season ticket. In addition, it will also allow priority access to the Atlético Malagueño and Málaga women's matches as long as access to the public is allowed by the relevant authorities and they are held behind the scenes.
2-Malaguista Patron
The objective of this second action is clear and resounding. Help improve the financial health of the club affected by the games behind closed doors that prevent having the amount of the season ticket. As the club reflects in one of the paragraphs of its official note. “A global context that only aggravates the already diminished situation of Málaga Club de Fútbol and seriously endangers the continuity of the entity.”
For this reason, it presents the figure of the ‘Malaguista Patron’. Any fan, subscriber or not, who wants to help alleviate this delicate situation, can do so in a formal and official way. Every Malaguista who becomes a ‘Patrono’ will be given an official certificate, an honorary bonus and a series of compensations in exchange for the contribution that the ‘Patrono Malaguista’ is willing to make. Any help will be welcomed because, despite the harsh measures that the judicial administrator, José María Muñoz, had to adopt, there is still much to do. Even contributing 10,000 euros will have a peculiar reward: whoever does it can be a manager for a day.
