UD Ibiza reported this Thursday, on its official channels, that Fernando Soriano has ceased to be the club’s sports director, chaired by Amadeo Salvo. In a brief statement, the island entity has announced that it has “reached an agreement” for “the dismissal” of the Aragonese from his position.
“Soriano took possession of the sports management of the entity in December 2018. His work and professionalism have contributed to the growth of our club, being one of the architects of the sporting achievements of recent seasons”, explains UD Ibiza. Together with Soriano, Juanjo Expósito does not continue as technical secretary either.
“From the club we want to publicly thank you for your work and dedication during all this time”is also indicated in the official statement.
Soriano and Expósito follow in the footsteps of the team’s former coach, Juan Carlos Carcedo, who was fired in December of last year. It was after losing, against Sporting de Gijón, in the last game of the first round of LaLiga SmartBank.
