Sonsoles Ónega talks about her ‘divorce’ with Paolo Vasile: “It was the longest and most painful farewell of my life”

It is the star signing of the season on Antena 3 and this Tuesday, in addition, the guest of Paul Motorcycles in the anthill. The journalist is very excited about the new stage that is beginning: “I feel like a girl with new shoes.” Pulling humor, she has recounted how her first contact with the directors of her new chain was: “I received a call and I was in my dressing room, in a girdle.”

Sonsoles Onega recounted: “It was July 1, the day we said goodbye to it’s already eight o’clock. The following week we meet in a hotel in Madrid and I meet three men and one of them tells me: ‘We have a plan for you’. I fell in love with him, he seemed to me Brad Pitt. I asked for 48 hours to reflect, which coincided with Gay Pride weekend, and I thought it was time. That Monday, and with a lot of heartache, I told my bosses that I was leaving Telecinco.”

Ónega assures: “I did not expect it, I am a youth squad. It was 48 hours of anguish, thinking about how I tell my bosses, with whom I am still in love. This has been harder than a divorce.” And she adds: “I spoke with my father, with my sister and with my boyfriend. They were all certain, more than me, that I had to take the opportunity to go with Brad Pitt.”

That Monday, at the end of the program it’s already noonfinally spoke with Paolo Vasile: “It’s a drink but I had made a decision. It was the longest and most painful farewell of my life. I have Paolo Vasile on an altar next to a wooden carving of Santiago Apóstol. He gave me the opportunity to be here and he I will always be grateful.” Ónega assures that he never thought that his departure would cause such a stir: “I never thought that this was going to get involved, I thought it was a more innocent decision. I became little and spent a week in shock.”

Now more relaxed, Sonsoles has wanted to share some points of her character unknown until now: “I am very superstitious, I cannot see a black cat and I have come to stand in a gutter to hug a tree. I carry a bag with all my amulets: a piece of quartz, a heart of wood from Jerusalem…”. In addition, she is a big fan of numbers: “I can’t see odd numbers, for example on the volume of the TV, on car license plates…”.
