Vladimir Petkovic, Switzerland coach, announced on Monday the final list of 26 players for Euro 2021, to be held from June 11 to July 11, a list headed by Granit Xhaka (Arsenal), Yann Sommer (Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Xherdan Shaqiri (Liverpool).
Finally Petkovic left out three players who had not yet been full internationals and who had been included in the starting list, Dan Ndoye (Nice), Andi Zeqiri (Brighton) and Gregor Kobel (Stuttgart).
In the list are the regulars of recent times. Granit Xhaka is the player with the most guts among those mentioned, with 93 games, ahead of Xherdan Shaqiri (90) and Ricardo Rodríguez (80).
Switzerland will play in Group A alongside Italy, Turkey and Wales. It will premiere on June 12 against the Welsh team at the Olympic stadium in Baku.
