Scotsman Andy Murray could not overcome the barrier of the round of 16 of the Dubai tournament by losing to the Italian Jannik Sinner, fourth favorite and who won 7-5 and 6-2, in 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Sinner, tenth in the ATP world ranking and who in the previous round eliminated the Spanish Alejandro Davidovich, decided the first set in his favor in the eleventh game by breaking the service of a Murray (n.89) who got 4 aces.
In the second sleeve, Sinner showed his best game and won handsomely.
Sinner’s rival in the quarterfinals will be the Pole Hubert Huzkacz, fifth favourite.
