Simone Inzaghi renews two seasons as Inter coach

MADRID, 22 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Simone Inzaghi will continue at the helm of the Inter de Mián bench until 2024, extending the commitment that already united the Italian and the entity until next summer, after a season in which the ‘neroazzurro’ team won two titles.

The Italian coach, who arrived at Inter from Lazio in the summer of 2021, has extended his commitment to the entity for another year after a season in which, although he was on the verge of revalidating the Series title A, managed to win both the Cup and the Super Cup, in both cases against Juventus.

In the league, Inzaghi’s Inter stayed two points away from the title, which Milan snatched from them in the final stretch of the competition, but the Italian’s average points are higher than those of his predecessor, Antonio Conte. In the Champions League, they fell in the round of 16 against the runner-up, Liverpool.

For next season, Inter have already confirmed the signings of Joaquín Correa, who is staying permanently, and the Ajax goalkeeper Onana, but they will not be the last moves. There are many names that sound for a team that wants to take a step forward in its squad, such as Lukaku, Dybala or Mkhitaryan.
