MADRID, 1 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Atlético de Madrid coach, Diego Pablo Simeone, stressed that his changes during the second half of the match against Real Valladolid, on matchday 32 of LaLiga Santander, “gave more offensive vertigo” to his pupils to end up thrashing (2-5 ).

“The changes did us good because they gave us more offensive vertigo in that ‘I hit you, you hit me’ game. We were more forceful. And Memphis’ entry ended, and with Correa, resolving a game in which they entered to that we could get more advantage and not defend that 2-3 that was too short”, declared the ‘Cholo’ Simeone to the Movistar Plus microphones.

“A match that we knew was going to be like this. Valladolid is a brave team, which since its change of coach has played these games with five defenders and five forwards, especially making the most of counterattacks,” said the Argentine coach.

In addition, Simeone explained that “the game had turned out very well” in the first half. “We had the advantage of 0-3 and without running any kind of danger. The penalty appeared and, obviously, the 1-3 with a little left [para el descanso] it puts you in the game”, he added about it.

“And then a different second half started, where they were more encouraged, they took very good advantage of the stopped ball to push and get into that 2-3,” said the coach of the mattress team, who with this victory in Pucela is still fighting for the runner-up spot .
