Atlético's coach, Diego Pablo Simeone, has appeared telematically before the media in the preview of tomorrow's LaLiga match against Betis at 9:00 p.m. at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Do you think the team will recover from Munich?
The parties and the facts will mark it. I absolutely trust the team, beyond the defeat, painful due to the bulky result, in Munich. I kept many positive things from the game and I totally believe in the team we have. I see them playing with great enthusiasm, with great intensity and with a lot of desire to be protagonists. Hopefully tomorrow we will have a good game.
Is Llorente the main alternative to Suárez?
The one I consider to be the most striker we have is Correa, but he does very well on the right, although he gets angry playing there because he likes to play as a forward. He works so well for the team on the right that he is the best we have in that position. Marcos is an important player for us who can play both on the right and as a second striker mainly, although he can also play as a midfielder.
Could Giménez be a starter tomorrow?
Yesterday he returned to training with the group and he is a very important footballer for us, we need him. Hopefully first he will be well and then he will give us everything he has given us in all his years at the club. After training they will almost certainly find out everything, as they usually do.
How is Saúl? Do you have spare parts in the equipment?
Replacement we have in all positions. We have made a fairly balanced template and we have a spare for him. That the characteristics of the teammates are not the same differentiates one footballer from another. Saúl is very important to the team and he has shown it in all the years he has been playing with the team. We hope for it, but we need it to be okay. We don't need a footballer who is 80%. We need him 100% and that he is available for the effort that each game asks for because each game is a final.
Do you see your footballers with enough personality to stay on the right track?
Tomorrow we will see. I absolutely believe in my footballers, in the category and the quality they have. We are going to face a team that with Pellegrini has improved a lot, beyond the results. It is a dangerous team because it has a very good offensive associative game.
What do you think of Pellegrini's situation due to his file opened by the RFEF?
I did not follow very closely the personal issue that he is having to live. All coaches have to be patient with the situation we always have, which is exposing ourselves to having to give our opinion on many things and, obviously, sometimes we can make mistakes.
