Atlético's coach, Diego Pablo Simeone, has appeared telematically before the media after his team's victory (1-3) against Osasuna at El Sadar.
Have you felt tension from missing so many times?
We create chances by countering from the inside with great speed. Vitolo played a good game. Shortly after the penalty came and from there we created some goal situations. We made it 0-2, but they scored 1-2 and there was a lot of tension. Luckily, Lucas (Torreira) scored a great goal that allowed us to close a game that I think was very good.
What has changed so that João Félix is giving this good image?
At the beginning of the season he looked good. It has always had important moments. What is making everyone talk like they are talking about him is the continuity and regularity he is having in his game, in his work. Last year we commented on some words, such as transition, that were surprising and, with time and believe it, it is given in him.
Why have so many occasions been created without a pure nine?
There were more spaces and the team was proposing different attack possibilities. I was playing well offensively and I have to look for consistency and balance that gives us being able to attack well, as is attacking, and defend well, as always.
Can the next game be well prepared tactically?
For years we have played many times on Saturday and Tuesday. Now we have a trip in between that is going to be five hours and that time gives us the possibility to watch games and to be able to find what we want for the next game. The most important thing at this stage is that the players recover in the best way possible.
