On May 4, 2010, David Silva stepped onto Mestalla for the last time. After training in Paterna from the age of 14 and leaving on loan to Eibar and Celta, the Canarian had four seasons at the highest level at Valencia. Silva played 168 games for Valencia, scoring 32 goals and giving 37 goal assists.. He won a Copa del Rey in 2008. And he never stepped on the Mestalla again despite the fact that his family remained linked to the capital of Turia.
