Lenovo Tenerife center Giorgi Shermadini was crowned Movistar MVP of the month of March in the Endesa League, with an average rating of 22.4, his 13th award as the player with the most.
The center started March with a PIR of 17 in the victory against Coviran Granada, after adding 13 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. His next game did not go as the Georgian expected, canceled against Real Madrid, but then he returned to the best version of himself.
Shermadini was MVP of matchday 25 with a spectacular ‘double-double’ in the victory against MoraBanc Andorra, with 23 points and 10 rebounds, to reach a PIR of 37. In the following week, he repeated as Player of the Day 26, surpassing himself in rating (38), in a perfect match in shooting (7/7) that finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 assists.
Finally, the Lenovo Tenerife center returned to double digits on the last day of March (PIR of 15), contributing 8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block and 1 assist to the Aurinegra victory on the Zunder Palencia court. Shermadini adds his second monthly Movistar MVP of the course and the 13th in his ACB career, already well ahead of Tanoka Beard (10), Lou Roe (9) and Arvydas Sabonis (7).
