Shane Waldron is named the Bears’ new offensive coordinator.
Shane Waldron was appointed as the new offensive coordinator by the Bears. Following a three-year term as the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator, he departs.

Before joining the University of the Pacific Northwest, Waldron spent the 2017–20 season with the Rams, under the guidance of head coach Sean McVay.
In 2018, he was elevated from the position of tight ends coach to that of passing game coordinator.
In 2019, he assumed the role of quarterbacks coach, and in 2020, he reverted to his previous position as passing game coordinator.
The Seahawks won No. 16, No. 9, and No. 17 in points scored, and No. 20, No. 13, and No. 21 in total yards, under the leadership of Waldron.

Waldron is an accomplished individual with three years of experience calling plays for the Seattle Seahawks. The Los Angeles Rams (2017-20), Virginia Redskins (2016), and New England Patriots (2008-09) were among his other stops.
Waldron assumed the role of offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks in 2021, the final season of Russell Wilson’s tenure with the organization due to lackluster performance.

According to reports, Waldron is already diligently assembling his staff. Waldron is reportedly coordinating staff position interviews with former Seattle Seahawks coaches Chad Morton, Sanjay Lal, as well as Kerry Joseph, among others, according to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones.
