Sevilla manages the transfer of central Loïc Badé

MADRID, 31 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The French player Loïc Badé will play for Sevilla FC on loan, until the end of the season, and with a purchase option reserved by the Seville club, which takes over a 22-year-old central defender who had been standing out at the Stade Rennais in French Ligue 1.

“Sevilla FC and Stade Rennais FC have reached an agreement in principle for the loan until the end of the season with an option to buy the 22-year-old central defender Loïc Badé, born in Sèvres, France on April 11, 2000,” announced the Sevilla club.

If the operation is closed, which is at the expense of the processing of the relevant documentation, which must be done at the beginning of next week, it would be the first Sevilla reinforcements in this winter market.

“Badé is right-handed and measures 191 centimeters, which is why he stands out for his aerial game and also for his good long distance,” said the Seville entity.

The center-back started his professional stage in Ligue 2, in the ranks of Le Havre, and made his debut in Ligue 1 at just 19 years old with Lens and comes from Stade Rennais, which acquired him as property in the 2021/22 season.

He played 22 games with the French team -14 in Ligue 1, 2 in the Coupe de France and 5 in the UEFA Conference League-, thus acquiring his first European experiences and getting a goal and two assists.

This season, after playing one Ligue 1 game before the market closed, he was loaned out to Premier League side Nottingham Forest. Badé also has three caps as an under-21 international for France.
