Sevilla has announced this Friday the start of the works in its sports city for the construction of an exclusive building for the first team, which will be part of the great project to build a business and sports park equipped with the best avant-garde of the moment and that It will turn these facilities into the nerve center and motor of the daily activity of the Nervionense club.
The president, José Castro, and the sports general director, Monchi, have been present at the beginning of the works, carried out next to the Jesús Navas stadium, which is where the first team usually trains and where both the subsidiary, promoted this campaign to First RFEF, like the feminine team. The building will have underground parking for 40 vehicles and a ground floor with changing rooms, a dining room, a medical center, warehouses for utility workers and technical staff, offices, video rooms and other rooms for the day-to-day of the team. The upper floor will have 40 rooms, 30 of them singles and another ten doubles, for the rest of the staff.
Sevilla explained that this important action, “framed within the comprehensive reform of the sports city presented in September 2019”, was scheduled to begin in 2020, but that it had to be postponed for a year due to the uncertainty arising from the pandemic. “If everything goes according to plan, the new area of the first team will be fully operational for the 2022-23 season,” explains the club in a note released on its official channels.
