MADRID, 21 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Sevilla FC seeks this Monday at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán (9:00 p.m.), in the last match of the thirty-second matchday of LaLiga EA Sports, a third consecutive victory that allows them to reach salvation, all against an RCD Mallorca with more difficulties and who wants to distance himself from the lower zone.
Quique Sánchez Flores’ men have put themselves in danger positions thanks to their victories against Getafe at the Coliseum (0-1) and against UD Las Palmas at the Gran Canaria Stadium (0-2), in those who managed to keep their goal at zero.
Now, they return to Nervión, where in their last home game a little over a month ago they fell to RC Celta (1-2), in thirteenth position in the table with 34 points, a distant 14th from the European places but with relegation, with which they flirted at various times during the course, nine units below.
Opposite, Mallorca stopped their cup euphoria with the defeat in the final against Athletic Club in the penalty shootout, and only a few days later they returned to the domestic competition to lose at home against Real Madrid (0-1).
In total, a streak of three matches without winning among all competitions that they will try to break against a rival whom they managed to beat in the first round (1-0). With 31 points, the same as Celta, the vermillions mark salvation with six points – and one game less – over the first of the teams in the burning zone, Cádiz (25).
The Sevillistas will lose Adrià Pedrosa and Djibril Sow, injured in recent days, and the suspended Kike Salas, but they will finally have Sergio Ramos available, who trained on the sidelines this week. Javier Aguirre, for his part, will be able to count on all of his men.
