Sestao River enters the second round after winning its match postponed due to the storm ‘Ciarán’

Black and green triumph 3-4 in extra time against Gimnástica Segoviana

MADRID, 8 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Sestao River entered the second round of the Copa del Rey this Wednesday thanks to its 3-4 victory in extra time against Gimnástica Segoviana, in a match that was postponed last week due to the storm ‘Ciarán’.

A goal by Jon Cabo eight minutes into that extra time prevented a miracle from Gimnástica, as they had scored two goals in added time in the second half of regulation time; Dani Segovia and Hugo Díaz had achieved 2-3 and 3-3, ultimately without a prize.

Before that heart-stopping outcome in La Albuera, Juan Silva had made it 1-0 in the 12th minute and the visitors had come back thanks to goals from Leandro Martínez (38′), Jon Cabo himself (52′) and Álvaro Gete (73′).
