The coach of Cádiz, Sergio González, will continue one more season as coach of the yellow team, after having achieved permanence on the last day of LaLiga Santander, the Cadista club reported on Tuesday.
“Sergio González will be the coach of Cádiz Club de Fútbol in the 2022/2023 season. The achievement of the objective of permanence in LaLiga Santander means that his relationship will be automatically extended to continue on the Cadista bench,” reported the Andalusian entity.
The Catalan coach arrived in Cádiz in January this year to replace the dismissed Álvaro Cervera. In total, he has directed 20 games, 18 in LaLiga Santander and two in the Copa del Rey, with a record of six wins and seven draws in league competition.
The 25 points won in that period of time were enough for the yellow box to achieve salvation and ensure they play for the third consecutive season in the highest category of Spanish football. The members of the technical team Diego Ribera and Sergio Dorado also renew.
