Sebastián Mora, seventh in the Glasgow World Cup omnium

The Spanish cyclist Sebastián Mora signed a great seventh place this Sunday in the omnium test of the World Cup that is taking place in Glasgow (Scotland), in a tight fight in which he touched the podium.

The man from Castellón showed great form in the most outstanding performance of the Spaniards at the Chris Hoy velodrome. The Portuguese Iuri Leitao was proclaimed world champion and Mora was solid in each test to stay 16 points behind bronze.

The man from Vila-Real began his omnium being eleventh in the scratch, while in the tempo race, Mora began to show his great pedal stroke, being the protagonist and moving intelligently to score eight points, finishing third in the test.

The Spanish cyclist confirmed his intention of podium in the elimination, after which he faced the score from fourth position. With endless attacks, Mora among them, the fight for the medals was close and, although he won the penultimate sprint, the Spaniard ultimately took seventh place.
