Gernika added three points to their locker after winning 1-0 against Peña this Saturday at the Urbieta. SD Gernika entered the game wanting to overcome their league points after losing the last match against CF Ardoi by a score of 1-0. Regarding the visiting team, Peña Sport did not go beyond the tables with a score of 3-3 against Osasuna Promises. After the match, the Guerniqués team is fourth, while Peña is eighteenth at the end of the match.
During the first part there were no goals by any of the players of each team, so the result remained 0-0 during the first 45 minutes.
The second period started with a face for the team from Guerniqués, who took advantage of the occasion to open the scoring with a goal from Koldo Berasaluce in the 53rd minute, thus ending the confrontation with the score of 1-0.
Both coaches made moves on the benches. The SD Gernika coach brought in Gorka Marcos and Ekaitz for Eizmendi and Delgado, while Peña Sport brought in Gorka, Ozcariz, Dario Frances and Navarro for Fermin Uriz, Mikel Cubillo, Ilincheta and Unai García.
During the match played at Urbieta, the referee did not show any yellow cards throughout the match. However, he expelled Perujo from the field with a direct red card, by the visiting team.
With this victory, Oskar Vales’s team was in fourth place with 44 points at the end of the match, while Unai Jáuregui’s team was in eighteenth place with 17 points, occupying a relegation place to the Third Division.
The team that played the game at home will face Cayón the following day, while Peña Sport will play against Logroñés B.
