Denmark highlighted the excitement generated by the Eurocup quarter-final match against the Czech Republic but stressed that it will only be a “great” experience if the goal of the semifinals is achieved.
“It's true that all the national team's matches are great experiences, great moments. Being here and playing a quarterfinal game on Saturday is something special. But it will only be great if we win in the end,” said the Leicester goalkeeper.
The match will be played in Baku and high temperatures are expected by the time of the match. “It's going to be nice not to be frozen there,” joked the Danish goalkeeper.
“Surely it will be the field players who notice it the most and those who feel the effect of the heat. But many of our players already play in leagues in hot countries, so it will not be the first time they come across such a situation”, indicated Schmeichel.
