Santi Cazorla leads Al Sadd’s comeback

The Spanish Santi Cazorla made it clear that he does not want to say goodbye to the Asian Champions League and led this Friday, with a goal included, the victory (5-2) of Al Sadd over Al Wehdat of Jordan, a victory that allows the Qatari team to keep alive their chances of getting through the group stage.

Some options that seemed to vanish for Al Sadd, led by Spanish coach Javi Gracia, after the 1-2 with which the Qatari team went to rest.

But Cazorla was not willing to give up so soon and thirteen minutes into the second half returned the equalizer to the scoreboard (2-2) after culminating in a precise shot from a pass from Ghanaian striker André Ayew.

A goal that seemed to give wings to the Qatari team that completely surpassed their rival in the second half as reflected by the goals from Ayew, the Brazilian Tabata and Mohammed Al Bayati, who established the final 5-2 in 93.

A win that allowed Al Sadd to cling to their chances of qualifying in a group E in which the Qatari team occupies third position on equal points with Al-Faysaly of Saudi and Nasaf Qarsgi of Uzbekistan.
