Sandro Rosell: “The Barça squad rules too much”

Sandro Rosell is not optimistic about the functioning of current Barcelona or about the electoral process that is immediately approaching in the entity. The former president, in an interview with L’Esportiu on the occasion of the publication of his book “A strong hug” in which he recounts the almost two years he spent in preventive detention before being acquitted, he believes that “the staff is in command too much” and plans an electoral process “to shame.”

For Rosell, “The squad rules too much” in the club and considers that “without making a revolution, because it cannot be done for market and economic reasons, a profound evolution must be made. The template has to be renewed. Not all, but a good part ”.

Rosell claims that Xavi points to a good coach “but to comment on him, before he has to lead a Champions team for five years”.

Asked how he sees the club's electoral horizon considering that the elections are scheduled for less than a year, Bartomeu said on TV3 that he expected to hold them in June next year, the former president's response is categorical: “It will be an election to slaughter. To blood and fire. I see an impressive war. Haven't you seen it already? With everything they have done to Bartomeu in the case of social networks … if it is the others who have done it … Everything is a manipulation. There are many interests. Luckily, I already promised my mother that I would not introduce myself again. ”

He maintains that he plans to “influence the elections” and when asked why Jordi Roche assures that “he is my friend, but that does not suppose that he is my candidate”. De Víctor Font assures that “I don't know him and I would like to know if he has someone behind” and of Laporta recommends him “not to appear, the second parts were not good” and he remembers that “he is the third president in relative number of titles because we did not make the team that Cruyff proposed and instead of Triple A (Ayala, Albelda and Aimar) we signed Brazilians ”.

Finally in the interview he proposes that in the future the club divide the sections so that each one acts independently: “We cannot continue being victims of the motto‘ More than a club ”(…) that each member decides which sections they want to be a member of and that each section has its income”.
