Sandra Sánchez, Queralt Castellet and Lucía Martiño visit the women’s team in the World Cup

The karateka Sandra Sánchez, the ‘rider’ Queralt Castellet and the surfer Lucía Martiño have visited the Spanish women’s team that is taking part in the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, which will take place from July 20 to August 20, before Jorge Vilda’s team will play the second match of the group stage against Zambia this Wednesday (9.30 am).

The three athletes, ambassadors of Iberdrola, official sponsor of the Spanish women’s team, traveled to the base of the national team in Auckland, where they accompanied the players in training at the North Harbor Stadium, before also supporting them in the duel against Zambia this Wednesday.

Olympic runner-up Queralt Castellet highlighted the “enormous and crucial” support for women’s sports from Iberdrola, a pioneering company. A vision shared by the captain of the team, Ivana Andrés, who thanked the company and its ambassadors for their confidence in the Spanish team.

The Spanish team trained at the North Harbor Stadium in Auckland in the last official training session before their second match in the group stage, against Zambia, which will be played this Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m. Spanish peninsular time, at the Auckland Eden Park stadium, after the 3-0 draw against Costa Rica in their debut.
