Sandra Bullock’s boyfriend, photographer Bryan Randall, dies at 57

The actress is devastated after losing her partner for eight years. Bryan Randall, photographer, had been fighting a degenerative neurological disease for three years. He has died at the age of 57. Sandra Bullock and family are devastated and have communicated Randall’s passing via social media: “It is with great sadness that we share that on August 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle against the Commonwealth.”

“Bryan chose early on to keep his ALS journey private, and those of us caring for him did our best to honor his request,” the statement continued. “We are immensely grateful to the tireless physicians who navigated the landscape of this disease with us and to the amazing nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours.” Finally, the family asks for privacy as they “mourn and accept the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan.”

Sandra, 59, had been dating Randall for eight years. They met when the two-Oscar-winning actress hired him to immortalize the fifth birthday of her son Louis, whom she adopted a decade ago. The crush was instantaneous and a year later, he moved into the house of the actress, who had expanded her family by adopting a girl, Laila.

Bullock spoke of him with true devotion in different interviews: “His life fell apart when he started dating me. He was happy but scared by my fame. I am a bulldozer. My life was already on track and here is this beautiful human being who He doesn’t want anything to do with my life, but he’s the right human being to be there,” he said in 2021. “He is a very patient man, a saint, and he quickly evolved to become the father of Louis and Laila. He is the example I would like my children to have. I don’t always agree with him and he doesn’t always agree with me, but he’s an example even when I don’t agree with him.” Sandra then stated that Bryan was “the love of my life” despite the fact that a wedding was not entered her plans: “I don’t need a role to be a devoted companion and a devoted mother. I found the love of my life. It’s the best I’ve ever had.”

In 2022 they went through a strong crisis and some American tabloids even spoke of a breakup, but their representative denied it: “Now they are closer than ever”. It coincided then with the announcement of the Bullock’s temporary withdrawal, who assured then that he wanted to “focus on my children and my family.” Probably, to accompany him in the last months of his life.

Bryan Randall had his own company, called Bryan Randall Photography, specializing in landscape and children’s portraits. He had previously been a couture model, posing for Vogue Paris and participating in campaigns for Hugo Boss and Saint Laurent. She had a daughter from a previous marriage.
